SF Ceremony
Boston Reception
Great question! The Gardens of Golden Gate Park (including the San Francisco Botanical Garden) has an incredible history and continues to offer a wide program of events and beautiful gardens enjoyed by all. The garden operates as a non-profit and offers free admission to San Francisco residents year-round. As residents, we regularly visit the gardens and attend their events, so we're holding our ceremony in the garden for these three reasons:
It's a very special place for us.
We view the ceremony as a donation to the Gardens, to allow them to continue serving residents and tourists alike.
If you know anything about us, you know we both really like plants.
Cocktail attire. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will take place in the Inner Sunset neighborhood, where there's often a cool breeze and a bit of fog. It may be cooler than you expect, so we recommend bringing layers to stay comfortable.
Due to the intimate nature of the weekend, we do not have a room block. However, we're full of opinions when it comes to neighborhoods or hotels we like. Please reach out if you'd like personalized recommendations on where to stay.
Because everyone will be traveling into San Francisco for our ceremony, we want to leave you all time to explore the city and surrounding area as much as you'd like. We will have activities planned for Thursday-Saturday and will let you know very soon what they are. You are all welcome and encouraged to join us for some or all of these activities. However, if you have plans to do some sight-seeing, we promise we will not be offended! Please see our ceremony page for some of our favorite recommendations around the San Francisco Bay Area!
Note: Sunday is the famous Bay to Breakers race through San Francisco. Plan for road closures, increased traffic, block parties, costumes and the occasional naked runner.
While we wish we could host all of you in San Francisco for our wedding ceremony, the event in San Francisco is limited to a very small group. We can't wait to celebrate with all our friends and family at our reception in August!
Of course! We can't wait to post photos of the San Francisco ceremony.
Waymo is our self-driving taxi service! If you haven't ridden in one, we highly recommend you try it out. While you're here, we suggest you download the app and call a ride, just like you would for an Uber or Lyft.
Great question. Ellis is the best.
